Trevor competed as an international freediver for 6 years. Accomplishing two world records, he was the captain of the first SA team to world championships, was an AIDA Judge, and holds multiple SA and African records.He has learned from worlds best freedivers and coaches.

He was trained as a scuba instructor in 1992 on pro-course and is now a NAUI and IANTD qualified instructor.

Trevor is an avid spearfisherman.

In January 2010, Trevor made the decision to return to international freediving competition after 9 years. He divides his time between high-performance training, competition diving, teaching freediving, high- risk personal management courses and keynote speaker engagements.
