Trevor has survived and beaten anorexia which he had for three years, a time during which he was executing deep training dives for world records. He overcame the Anorexia eventually in 2000 and broke two world records before retiring from all competition diving in 2001. Then after a 9 year hiatus he returned to international competition and at his first world cup he placed 5th in the constant weight category. He has returned to top-flite competition with a new vision and fresh insight into the conflict situation which is international competition. In 2009 he shot a fish at 60m in very high risk waters; every kind of predatory shark, murky waters, extreme depth, strong current, surface swell and chop, every possible factor that could make this dive dangerous in the extreme was present. "Number One Fishing Ground" is known to be a spooky place to dive even on a shallow dive, this experience changed a lot of his views on life in an instant, despite having competed in the cauldron of international freediving, and he rates this as his most significant personal achievement. With a new emphasis on Grace and Courage, Trevor's is a powerful and inspiring story. He speaks with insight, passion and intuition about factors that are as much a part of his daily life as getting out of bed. Courage, fear of failure, fear of success, focus, allowing process to take place, walking your own true path, how to be objective in high pressure situations, teamwork in a very lonely pursuit, dealing with disappointment and unrealistic expectations and keeping both feet planted firmly on the ground. He also talks about the Ocean and encounters with many of the Ocean's creatures and lessons he has learned in the Marine environment that are applicable in our society.
